Yes guys you read that right! This is the most delicious, super easy milk cookies recipe you will ever find, I tapped myself in the back after I came up with this recipe and am sure you will too once you make them.
Am constantly trying to fill my kids lunch box and the refrigerator with homemade goodies and this is now a family favorite.
Without further delay let me take you through the process.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 corn flour
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup powdered milk
1teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
Cream together your butter and sugar until it’s light and fluffy, add in the egg and mix to incorporate till the mixture resembles a smooth paste.
Add the vanilla extract and whisk together, add in the flour, corn flour, baking powder and powdered milk, cream this together till you get soft dough.
P.S the dough might seem breakable but don’t fret.
Now transfer the dough to a light flour surface and gently knead for 5minutes.
Wrap the dough up with nylon and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Take the dough out and set your oven to 270 degrees and while the oven is getting hot knead the dough gently for ten minutes and cut into two parts.
Take one part and roll it to about half an inch thick, with a clean kitchen knife or cookies cutter cut out your cookies to your desired shape and place them on a buttered baking sheet.
Repeat the same process for the remaining dough and then take a fork and dip into each cookie just to give it some design.
Place in the oven and reduce the oven to 200 degrees, bake for 10minutes
Take out your cookies and allow them to cool for 10minutes, please resist the temptation to start eating them right from the oven because I know I couldn’t wait.
Serve and enjoy your cookies with a glass of milk, juice or even with tea during breakfast.
