Virgin Mary to be wearing designer gowns
Who would’ve thought that Virgin Mary will be going for designer gowns, but in this day and age, nothing is quite impossible in our weird and wonderful society.
In France, the French parishioners have asked several famous designers to help give their Virgin Mary statue a make-over. They are hoping that several dresses can be made for her and Jesus whom she is carrying in her arms. They also hope that some of these designers would consider giving a dress to the mother and baby statues as a present.
Some of the designers who have been approached include Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, Paco Rabane, Sonia Rykiel and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. No restrictions have been set on the design of the dress, so it will be really interesting to see what Virgin Mary will be wearing. Who knows, it might just inspire a new trend on the catwalks as the next season’s hottest in-thing!
