In today’s world, many women have shown their capabilities in the workforce. Many reputable companies employ women as part of their top and middle management team and these women have definitely earned these positions through their hard work to prove themselves. Now that women are amongst the equals with their male counterparts, I find that many men in the management team feel a certain level of resentment towards these women.

This is not as assumption. I’ve seen with my own eyes the many incidences where men back stab their women counterparts although the ladies have done nothing wrong apart from performing at their jobs and being looked up to by others. I take these negative actions by the men as jealousy and envy as women start to dominate the corporate world.

What’s more disturbing than these men at work are the men in the private lives of such women may also tend to feel some resentment for their corporate success. I think there’s some feeling of inferiority complex when their girlfriensd or wives are high ranked executives who make more money than many men, themselves included.

How does a woman in this situation continue to lead a happy life with a man who feels inferior next to her? Anyone has some great insights to share on what to do to help the relationship? This is more pressing than to deal with the pressure of those other men at the same work place, although it would be nice too to have that part of the situation sorted out. But I guess we can’t solve every problem that exists, especially if it’s not our own problem but someone else’s personal issues.

I am a bachelor, and I recently moved into the second-hand semi-detached house I had purchased. When I was setting up my personal computer, I noticed some wires jutting out of the wall. Curious, I connected my computer to them and saw what looked like a video image of a bedroom. I then realised that it was my neighbour’s master bedroom.

My neighbour is a married woman whose husband visits her only every Thursday and stays only for one night. I can see and hear everything that goes on between them on the webcam. And what goes on is a real “show” after dinner every week. The husband plays with honey on his wife’s body, and also uses a paste that seems to enhance his “virility”.

When I feel lonely I switch on my computer and watch them, as well as the wife on her own – she often lies naked on the bed.

Recently, after I returned from a trip, the woman invited me to dinner. At first I refused, but she kept insisting, so I finally accepted the invitation. After dinner, we talked a lot, about all sorts of things in life.

Then she asked if I like watching DVDs. When I said yes, she put one on – and it was a pornographic movie. I was shocked, stunned. She just said she watches it to pass the time. She said her husband gets such DVDs for her.

Later, she gave me coffee, letting her hand linger on mine; then she said I should lie down on the daybed in the living room and relax because I was too tense. She gave me a sarong and told me to take off my shirt, and she dimmed the lights. I asked her frankly what would happen if we got caught. When she said not to worry, I told her I wanted to have sex with her at all cost, and she gave in and applied the paste that her husband uses.

I have had sex a few times with female friends. I also have a girlfriend but she has no time for me. To be frank, my neighbour really satisfies me. Now the problem is, my neighbour has tempted me, and I can’t stop watching her every evening, I cannot live without her. How can I forget all this stuff that is haunting me day and night?

So much for thinking that she was a victim of a spy camera. The only victim I feel for in this real life story is the husband of the woman who has been cheated on. I do hope both the married woman and her neighbour will soon come to realise what they are doing is wrong.

Whilst there is nothing wrong in setting high standards, it sometimes may cause a lot of unhappiness in a person. It’s great to aim high and achieve the best of what you can for yourself, but to expect others to meet your high expectations is where the problem begins.

Imagine that you set certain expectations for family members, friends, colleagues and whoever else who is in your life. What do you think or feel about them if they do not meet your expectations? Disappointment, anger, frustrations. Can you imagine leading a happy life while you feel all these brewing inside you?

Sometimes, many of us don’t even realise that we’ve set too high an expectation on things and people. And we keep wondering why there are so many people in our lives that just simply piss us off. The friend who turned out to be not so great just because she did something against your expectation, the sister who married the guy you don’t like because he doesn’t live up to your expectations and therefore not good enough to be family, the date who didn’t quite pick the right time and restaurant for that first date, the business partner who just can’t agree with you on your way of doing things, I can go on and on but you get the idea, right?

You see, life is not about other people making you happy. You need to be happy and make yourself happy. If you just can’t see the good in others around you, and have a string of complaints against all that you meet, it’s tough to have a happy disposition around you. And since I believe in the law of attraction, I think that if you are not a happy person to begin with, you will often find the not so nice things happening to you. It’s all connected that way and if you wonder why your life is such, begin by looking at yourself. The problem does not always lie in others. It’s usually within us but we don’t realise it or don’t want to admit so.

So don’t let your high expectations run you down and lead to a bitter outlook in life. The world is quite a nice place to live in. And I’d like to end this by borrowing a thought of a friend. He says that generally, people are not bad natured and do not have bad thoughts in their mind consciously. It’s just how we view them and misconstrue what they say or do to be bad.
