Art of War for women
The famous Sun Tzu Art of War has been around for the longest time and it has even crafted many corporate strategies as well as build an individual’s strengths. Whilst the general principles are applicable to many areas of businesses, I found a specific Art Of War version for working women.
Years ago, when I knew that I was joining an industry that is very much male dominant, I decided to read The Art of War for Women, written by Chin-Ning Chu of Thick Face, Black Heart fame. The author writes as a woman to another woman and her frank sharing of how the corporate world is like for a woman in reality is much appreciated. It is not the kind of diplomatic book that shares safe thoughts and opinions. Chin-Ning Chu speaks the world of the working women as it is.
It may be quite offensive to those who are not exposed to being discriminated. It also talks about how women use their charms or power to influence to get their way to the top. This is by no means obscene, it’s just reality talk again. If you are looking for an interesting read and to be able to learn a thing or two to survive the corporate world, try this book.
